Welcome to CULI International Conference 2023!

About the Conference

Rationale

      The global pandemic and social distancing policies have had a significant impact on English language teaching (ELT). The period has offered a unique experience for researchers and practitioners in the field to explore different aspects of teaching practices and assessment. As we transition from a pandemic to an endemic situation, the effects are ongoing as evidenced in the English language classroom. Research, theories, and practices pertaining to English language teaching and assessment in this new era from basic to higher education have been introduced to the community. It is, therefore, important for researchers and practitioners in the field of English language teaching and assessment to be aware of the current trends and new research results to help enhance their English language teaching and develop effective assessments to test their students’ English proficiency.

      Chulalongkorn University Language Institute (CULI) is organizing this international conference with the aim to provide a platform for local and international researchers to share and discuss research findings, experiences, and practical and theoretical issues related to the field of English language teaching with fellow researchers and practitioners. The objectives of the conferences are as follows:

1. To provide English researchers and practitioners in Thailand and beyond with a forum for sharing current research and practices on English language instruction, learning and     assessment
2. To provide participants with an opportunity to meet and learn from leading speakers and other invited and parallel session speakers;
3. To offer participants an opportunity to network with colleagues in the ELT profession
