On 14 July 2025, Chulalongkorn University Language Institute (CULI) had the honour of welcoming representatives from Universiti Teknologi MARA, Kedah, Malaysia (UiTM) for the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) Signing Ceremony, marking the launch of a joint research project under a matching grant scheme between the two institutions.
The MoA was signed by Associate Professor Dr. Jirada Wudthayagorn, Director of CULI, and Professor Dr. Roshima Said, Acting Rector of UiTM Kedah. Professor Dr. Buncha Pulpoka, Assistant to the President for Research Development, graciously attended the ceremony as a witness on behalf of Chulalongkorn University.
The research collaboration focuses on the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in language learning activities, reflecting both institutions’ commitment to educational innovation and cross-border academic exchange. The CULI research team comprises Assistant Professor Dr. Seehhazzakd Rojanaatichartasakul and Assistant Professor Dr. Chulaporn Kongkeo, the Deputy Director for the Research Department, while the UiTM research team includes Dr. Nur Syzawanie Mansor, Dr. Berlian Nur Morat, and Ms. Chuah Bee Peng.
Following the signing ceremony, the UiTM delegation paid a courtesy visit to Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of Chulalongkorn University, to express their appreciation and reaffirm their commitment to fostering long-term academic collaboration.
This event marks the beginning of a promising partnership between CULI and UiTM Kedah, aimed at advancing research in AI-enhanced language learning across the ASEAN region.
