The Research Division of the Language Institute organized Phase II of the Publication Camp from 23–25 January 2026 at the Chulalongkorn University Language Institute and Mandarin Hotel Bangkok, Sam Yan. This project consisted of workshops aimed to enhance faculty members’ understanding of the objectives and key components of writing textbooks and academic books for academic promotion purposes. It also sought to support participants in setting clear goals and developing well-structured research plans, thereby increasing both the quantity and quality of the Language Institute’s academic output.
The workshop was honored by the participation of experts from various organizations. These included a representative from Chulalongkorn University Press, who provided guidance on the manuscript submission and publication process; Associate Professor Dr. Kornwipa Poonpon, who shared her experiences in textbook writing; Assistant Professor Dr. Wutthiphong Laoriandee, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs, who explained the procedures for participating in the Institute’s textbook and academic book projects as well as the funding schemes available to support faculty members; and Associate Professor Dr. Suphawat Pukcharoen, who shared his experience in writing both textbooks and academic books and emphasized the importance of finding “academic signature” as a foundation for developing academic publications.
A total of 17 faculty members from the Language Institute participated in the workshop. The knowledge and experience gained from this program will be applied to the development of textbooks and academic books, contributing to the dissemination of knowledge in the field of English Language Education.
