On 20 September 2025, the selection of recipients for the SEAMEO Regional Language Centre (SEAMEO RELC) training scholarships in the Republic of Singapore for the Fiscal Year 2026 was conducted. Candidates comprised education professionals from the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI). The interviews took place at Prem Purachatra Building, Chulalongkorn University.
This year, eight scholarships across eight training courses have been allocated to enhance the linguistic expertise and international competencies of education professionals.
1) C111: Advanced Specialist Certificate in Teaching Listening and Speaking
2) C112: Advanced Specialist Certificate in Teaching Reading and Writing
3) MTESOL: Master of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages
4) C113: Advanced Specialist Certificate in Language Assessment
5) C419: Specialist Certificate in the Professional Development of Teacher Leaders/Supervisors
6) C103: Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Linguistics
7) C423: Specialist Certificate in Technology-Enhanced Language Teaching
8) C325: Specialist Certificate in TESOL with Cambridge Teaching Knowledge (Foundation) for Secondary/High School Teachers
These scholarships represent an academic collaboration among the Chulalongkorn University Language Institute, the Ministry of Education, and SEAMEO RELC. The initiative aims to promote the exchange of education personnel and to support professional development in line with the changing contexts and demands of the post-globalization era.
