SEAMEO RELC Scholarships in the Republic of Singapore for Fiscal Year 2027

On 22 August 2026, the Chulalongkorn University Language Institute (CULI) conducted the selection process for recipients of SEAMEO RELC (SEAMEO Regional Language Centre), Singapore scholarships for Fiscal Year 2027. A total of eight scholarships were awarded for eight programmes, with one recipient selected for each programme. The applicants were education professionals under the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, including primary, secondary, higher education, and vocational teachers/instructors, school administrators, educational supervisors, and educators.
The selection process consisted of screening based on English language test results and interviews, which were conducted on the 2nd Floor of the Prem Purachatra Building, Chulalongkorn University, as follows:
1. C111: Advanced Specialist Certificate in Teaching Listening and Speaking – In-Person
2. C112: Advanced Specialist Certificate in Teaching Reading and Writing – In-Person
3. MTESOL: Master of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages – Blended
4. C113: Advanced Specialist Certificate in Language Assessment – In-Person
5. C419: Specialist Certificate in the Professional Development of Teacher Leaders/Supervisors – In-Person
6. C103: Postgraduate Diploma in TESOL – Blended
7. C423: Specialist Certificate in Technology-Enhanced Language Teaching – In-Person
8. C325: Specialist Certificate in TESOL with Cambridge Teaching Knowledge (Foundation) for Secondary / High School Teachers – In-Person
The above scholarships are provided through academic cooperation among the Chulalongkorn University Language Institute, the Ministry of Education of Thailand, and SEAMEO RELC, Singapore. The scholarships have been offered continuously on an annual basis and cover registration fees, tuition fees, airfare, allowances, and accommodation.
The programme aims to promote education for sustainable development while enhancing the competencies (reskilling and upskilling) and professional expertise of education professionals in language and language teaching, in alignment with international standards, through personnel exchange and international academic cooperation.
