เมื่อวันที่ 13 มีนาคม 2569 สถาบันภาษา จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย ได้จัดงาน Post-RELC Seminar 2026 หัวข้อ "Global Trends and Innovations in Language Education: Theory, Research, and Practice in Action” ณ โรงแรมแมนดารินกรุงเทพ สามย่าน ภายใต้ความร่วมมือระหว่าง 4 หน่วยงาน ได้แก่ สถาบันภาษา จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย กระทรวงศึกษาธิการ Regional English Language Office (RELO) สถานเอกอัครราชทูตสหรัฐอเมริกาประจำประเทศไทย และ SEAMEO Regional Language Centre (Seameo RELC) สาธารณรัฐสิงคโปร์ ในกำกับดูแลขององค์การรัฐมนตรีศึกษาแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ (Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization: SEAMEO) โดยมีรองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.จิรดา วุฑฒยากร ผู้อำนวยการสถาบันภาษา จุฬาฯ เป็นประธานในพิธีเปิด ประกอบกับมีแขกกิตติมศักดิ์จากสถาบันการศึกษาต่าง ๆ และผู้สนใจลงทะเบียนเข้าร่วมกว่า 260 คน
การสัมมนาครั้งนี้มุ่งแลกเปลี่ยนแนวคิดและแนวทางการจัดการเรียนการสอนภาษาอังกฤษท่ามกลางความท้าทายรอบด้านในบริบทโลกปัจจุบัน โดยนำเสนอผลงานที่ได้เผยแพร่ในงาน The 60th RELC International Conference ซึ่งจัดขึ้นที่ RELC International Hotel สาธารณรัฐสิงคโปร์ ระหว่างวันที่ 9-11 มีนาคม 2569 ดังนี้
1) การบรรยาย หัวข้อ "Enabling Transformative Language Learning Experiences through AI" โดย Dr. Carlise Womack Wynne วิทยากรจาก University of North Georgia สหรัฐอเมริกา และ RELO นำเสนอประโยชน์ของปัญญาประดิษฐ์ (AI) ในแง่เครื่องมือสร้างการเปลี่ยนแปลง เพื่อเสริมสร้างสภาพแวดล้อมการเรียนรู้ที่เปิดโอกาสให้ผู้เรียนมีส่วนร่วม
2) การบรรยาย หัวข้อ "Designing for Literacy Learning in the Digital Age" โดย Associate Professor Victor Lim Fei วิทยากรจาก Nanyang Technological University (NTU) สาธารณรัฐสิงคโปร์ นำเสนอกระบวนการเรียนรู้ในยุคที่มี AI โดยให้ครูเป็นผู้ออกแบบประสบการณ์การเรียนรู้ที่หลากหลาย (Multimodal) และใช้สื่อการสอนเป็นเครื่องมือถ่ายทอดองค์ความรู้ เพื่อพัฒนาทักษะการสื่อสารของผู้เรียน
3) การบรรยาย หัวข้อ "Rewriting Language Learning with GenAI: A Dual Perspective from Students and Instructors" โดยอาจารย์ ดร.ณัฐรัฐ ลีนะกิตติ วิทยากรจากสถาบันภาษา จุฬาฯ นำเสนอประโยชน์ของ AI ในแง่ Artificial Intelligence–Assisted Language Learning (AIALL) โดยใช้เป็นเครื่องมือพัฒนาทักษะการเขียนภาษาอังกฤษและให้ผลสะท้อนกลับแก่ผู้เรียน
4) การบรรยาย หัวข้อ "From Teacher Self-Efficacy to Practice: Teachers Implementing Higher Order Thinking Skills Pedagogy" โดย Dr. Pearl Wong วิทยากรจาก Seameo RELC นำเสนอความสัมพันธ์ระหว่าง Teacher Self-Efficacy (TSE) กับ Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) Pedagogy
5) การบรรยาย หัวข้อ "Reimagining English Language Education: Ethical and Impactful Applications of AI in English Language Teaching" โดย Neenaz Ichaporia วิทยากรจาก British Council นำเสนอบทบาทของ AI ที่มีต่อการเรียนการสอนภาษาอังกฤษ (English Language Teaching: ELT) รวมถึงประเด็นจริยธรรมและประเด็นในทางปฏิบัติ อันเกิดจากการใช้ AI ตลอดจนหยิบยกกรณีศึกษาของ AiBC ซึ่งเป็น AI ช่วยพัฒนาทักษะการสนทนาในโลกแห่งความเป็นจริง พัฒนาขึ้นโดย British Council
On 13 March 2026, the Post-RELC Seminar 2026, titled “Global Trends and Innovations in Language Education: Theory, Research, and Practice in Action”, was held at the Mandarin Hotel Bangkok, Samyan. The event was organized through the collaboration of four institutions: the Chulalongkorn University Language Institute (CULI), the Ministry of Education, the Regional English Language Office (RELO), U.S. Embassy in Thailand, and the SEAMEO Regional Language Centre (SEAMEO RELC), Singapore, under the auspices of the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO).
The opening ceremony was presided over by Associate Professor Dr. Jirada Wudthayagorn, CULI Director. More than 260 participants, including honorary guests from various educational institutions and other interested attendees, have registered to join the event.
The seminar provided a platform for discussion and exchange of ideas on approaches to English language teaching amid the multifaceted challenges of the contemporary global context. The presentations were selected from those presented at the 60th RELC International Conference, held at RELC International Hotel, Singapore, from 9–11 March 2026, as follows:
1) “Enabling Transformative Language Learning Experiences through AI”
Presented by Dr. Carlise Womack Wynne from the University of North Georgia, USA, and RELO, the talk highlighted the benefits of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a transformative tool for creating learning environments that promote active learner engagement.
2) “Designing for Literacy Learning in the Digital Age”
Presented by Associate Professor Victor Lim Fei from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, the talk discussed learning processes in the AI era, emphasizing the role of teachers as designers of multimodal learning experiences, using instructional media as tools to convey knowledge and enhance students’ communication skills.
3) “Rewriting Language Learning with GenAI: A Dual Perspective from Students and Instructors”
Presented by Dr. Natrarat Leanakit from the Language Institute, Chulalongkorn University, the talk explored the benefits of AI in Artificial Intelligence–Assisted Language Learning (AIALL), including the use of tools such as ChatGPT to support English writing development and provide feedback.
4) “From Teacher Self-Efficacy to Practice: Teachers Implementing Higher Order Thinking Skills Pedagogy”
Presented by Dr. Pearl Wong from SEAMEO RELC, the talk examined the relationship between Teacher Self-Efficacy (TSE) and Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) pedagogy.
5) “Reimagining English Language Education: Ethical and Impactful Applications of AI in English Language Teaching”
Presented by Neenaz Ichaporia from the British Council, the talk discussed the role of AI in English Language Teaching (ELT), including ethical considerations and practical implications of AI use. It also introduced the case of AiBC, an AI tool developed by the British Council to help learners develop conversational skills in real-world contexts.
